Google has just released Gmail for Android version 4.9 in Play Store with some cool new features.

Gmail for Android version 4.9 changes

  • Save attachments directly to Google Drive so you can access them anywhere while saving space and bandwidth on your device
  • Full right-to-left (RTL) support for Arabic, Hebrew and Persian
  • In any view, a swipe from the edge to access the left side menu. You will now also find Settings, Help and Feedback here.
  • Learn why a message ended up in spam folder with an explanation at the top of the message
  • Visual updates, including profile pictures in the account switcher
